2010 A new decade for new projects.

Towards the end of 2009 I took a look at my photography and decided it was becoming a little stale and jaded, so with the approach of a new decade, I decided it was time for a new project or two.

As for projects, well I have the “One Per Day” photograph sequence that will run throughout 2010, and the regular update of a website to display them (www.rtb2OnePerDay.co.uk), and merge my photographic gallery and blog sites into one, thats this site.

Add to these tasks my best endeavourers to enact my master-plan mindmap to market myself and my photography. The mindmap took me a week or so to put together and almost a month to understand, to be honest in parts it looks like a spider has walked across it with inky feet! Then if a have a spare minute or two my final project is to do some targeted imaging. I am sure that the stock images that sell are those that are wanted, not those I want to take. Sounds obvious, but how many people trying to sell stock are pushing images they like, not what is wanted? To do this I found in a book I have (How To Shoot Stock Photos That Sell) that has a series of 35 suggested stock photo tasks, well I intend to a number of these during 2010. I do not ever believe I can make photography my full time profession, but if I can make it pay a little it won't hurt.

That lot should keep me out of trouble, and hopefully improve my imaging and photographic skills.

Whatever your plans for 2010 and it's decade, I wish you all the best.
